Community Paediatric Specialty Doctor
Dr Gavrisan specialises in community and developmental paediatrics, with particular expertise in neurodevelopmental assessment, behavioural paediatrics, and paediatric sleep medicine. She has extensive experience in assessing children for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental coordination disorder (DCD), developmental delay, and ADHD-related difficulties.
She is trained in Griffiths III Developmental Assessment and provides detailed developmental evaluations, including clinical examinations and multidisciplinary input. She also has a special interest in paediatric sleep disorders and ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), supporting children and families with sleep difficulties and feeding challenges.
Dr Andreea Gavrisan is an experienced Community Paediatric Specialty Doctor with over 17 years of experience across community paediatrics, acute paediatrics, and neonatal medicine. She has worked in both the UK and Romania and is currently practicing within the Northern Health and Social Care Trust since 2019, where she specialises in neurodevelopmental assessments, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD pathways, developmental delay, ARFID, and paediatric sleep medicine. Her previous roles include work in acute paediatrics, neonatal intensive care units, and paediatric intensive care, providing her with a strong and well-rounded clinical background.
Dr Gavrisan completed her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu” in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, followed by specialist training in paediatrics in both Romania and the UK. She holds MRCPCH qualifications and is on the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics.
She currently works as a Specialty Doctor in Community Paediatrics within the Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHS), where she assesses and manages children with developmental and behavioural conditions and supports multidisciplinary care.
