Dr Simon Hawe’s medical undergraduate training was undertaken at the University of Glasgow.
After qualifying, Dr Hawe worked in Scotland and Australia for nearly four years, predominantly in Emergency Medicine but also in Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, and Intensive Care.
Dr Hawe then returned to Northern Ireland in 2008 to complete his GP training. He has been working as a GP in the NHS for over 12 years, 11 of those as a GP partner in a large teaching practice. He has also been a GP trainer since 2018.
Dr Hawe is an NHS GP partner in a large teaching practice in Coleraine. He has been a GP trainer with NIMDTA since 2018.
