Registered Dietitian
Lynette is a registered dietitian with a specialist interest in pregnancy and pre-conception nutrition.
She uses evidenced based nutrition and lifestyle advice to help optimise various aspects of male and female fertility.
- Planning a pregnancy or struggling to conceive naturally
- Preparing for egg freezing
- Fertility treatment (IVF, ICSI etc)
- Recurrent miscarriage
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Endometriosis
- Weight management: as having a BMI which falls above or below the healthy ranges can negatively impact fertility.
- Pregnancy nutrition advice: specific for each trimester and taking pregnancy related side effects into consideration.
Lynette is a registered dietitian with over 24 years experience. She qualified from the University of Ulster Coleraine in 2001 and has gained immense experience in many clinical areas throughout her time in the NHS. Currently working in the NHSCT and as a freelance dietitian (www.fertilitynutritionni.co.uk)
Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). Also a member of the BDA Women’s health and fertility specialist group and is the only dietitian in NI on the BDA fertility nutrition guidelines working group.
For the last 10 years she has specialised in pre-conception and pregnancy and has undertaken advanced training in diabetes, fertility, and pregnancy and is a certified fertility and prenatal dietitian. She has also completed advanced training in dietetic counselling.
Having her own personal experience of fertility problems, she realised there was a lot of misinformation surrounding fertility nutrition.
Lynette provides each client with an enhanced service which is evidenced based, safe and tailored to their unique circumstances.
