Mr Ahmed M.S.M Marzouk
General & Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon
Mr Mazouk specialises in general and upper gastrointestinal surgery and has vast expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques. His core areas include:
- gallbladder and biliary surgery,
- benign oesophagogastric antireflux and achalasia surgery,
- bariatric (weight loss) surgery,
- abdominal wall and groin hernia, both open and keyhole repair,
- UGI endoscopy.
He routinely performs procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bile duct explorations, hernia repairs, antireflux and achalasia surgery, and diagnostic UGI endoscopy. In addition, he performs minor procedures under local anaesthesia.

He has over 20 years of General and UGI surgical experience, including consultant roles in the UK, UAE, and Egypt. He is the current Clinical Lead for General Surgery (Western Trust), Postgraduate Tutor for surgical training and Ass. Professor of General Surgery (Cairo University, Egypt).
He holds academic appointments at Cairo University and is actively involved in publications, education, training, and clinical audits. He is a certified GMC and NIMDTA surgical and JAG-UGI endoscopy trainer, a Fellow of multiple general and UGI surgical national and international associations and societies.
