Mr Peter McLernon

BSc (Hons) Podiatrist MRCPod

GCM/NMC No: CH33781

I am a fully qualified HCPC-registered Podiatrist and a member of the Royal College of Podiatry. I graduated from the University of Ulster in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatry. I started my professional career by moving to Australia to explore my interest in musculoskeletal podiatry. I returned to work within the NHS in England, gaining a wealth of experience in diabetic wound care and offloading management while being part of a multi-disciplinary team.

I have since worked in private healthcare throughout England and Ireland, covering all aspects of Podiatry, with a particular interest in the surgical management of ingrown toenails (Nail Surgery) and musculoskeletal podiatry, including orthotic and bracing therapy. I have also extended my skill set by completing training in corticosteroid injection therapy for pain management of the foot and ankle.

I occasionally take part in workshops and conferences providing training in musculoskeletal podiatry to other podiatrists and healthcare professionals.

I specialise in musculoskeletal podiatry and lower limb biomechanics, including custom-made foot orthotics and cracking therapy. I also have a particular interest in the surgical management of ingrown toenails.

I treat patients of all ages, as anyone can suffer from foot and ankle conditions. We can treat lower limb injuries such as lower back pain, hip and knee pain, and foot and ankle pain.

The most common conditions include bunions, arthritis, plantar fasciitis (heel pain), Achilles tendinopathy, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, “flat feet”, soft tissue injuries, Morton’s neuromas, and any foot pain.
