Consultant Dermatologist
Dr McLoone is a Consultant Dermatologist with over 15 years of experience. She currently works as an NHS Consultant and Dermatology Clinical Director in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, based at Antrim Hospital.
She achieved her medical degree with honours from Queens University Belfast in 1997, received membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK in 2000 and completed specialist dermatology training in 2004. During her training, she undertook 2 years of research on drug delivery into skin lesions and obtained an MD in 2005.
Dr McLoone has extensive experience in general dermatology in both adults and children, offering assessment, diagnosis and management of:
- Skin rashes including acne, rosacea, urticaria (hives), eczema and psoriasis
- Skin lesions including moles and skin cancers
- Scalp, hair and nail problems
- Genital skin diseases
