Support during Your Pregnancy
At Mid Ulster Clinic, you can access a range of services to support you during pregnancy and after birth. These services sit alongside your NHS care and do not replace it.
Antenatal Care Prenatal
You can book pregnancy scans at any stage of your pregnancy. Scans are carried out by a consultant in a calm and private setting. You have time to discuss any concerns while seeing your baby develop. Scans include basic measurements to check that your baby is growing as expected.
Postnatal Care
After your baby is born, you can access paediatric services for extra checks if you have any concerns. You can also use counselling services to speak in confidence with a trained specialist. Women’s health services are available through gynaecologists, women’s health physiotherapy, and GP care to support both you and your baby after birth.
Symptoms and Conditions We Treat
You should book an appointment with one of our Obstetrician consultants if you have concerns during pregnancy or after birth. Our consultants assess your symptoms, explain what they mean, and guide you on the next steps.
We commonly support patients with:
- Bleeding during pregnancy
- Pelvic pain and abdominal pain
- High blood pressure in pregnancy
- Gestational diabetes
- Reduced baby movements
- Early pregnancy concerns
- Previous pregnancy complications
- Post birth pain or delayed recovery
- Infection after delivery
- Concerns about mood or emotional wellbeing after birth
If you are unsure whether your symptoms need review, you can still book an appointment for advice and reassurance.
