Prostate Screening & Assessment

Prostate Screening & Assessment

What is a Prostate Assessment?

Prostate Screening and Prostate Assessments are a great way to check your prostate health. You can use this service if you want a routine check or if you have symptoms you would like reviewed.

We will guide you through each step and explain which level of care is right for you. Appointments are calm, respectful, and focused on giving you clear information about your health.

Who the Service is For

You may want a prostate check if you are aged fifty or above, or earlier if prostate cancer runs in your family. You may also find this service helpful if you have symptoms such as needing to pass urine more often, a weak flow, or trouble emptying your bladder. You can also book if you simply want a routine check for reassurance.

What the Service Includes

Our Prostrate Assessment service is designed to give you clear and flexible care.

This appointment involves a PSA blood test, a detailed discussion about your symptoms, a medical history review, and a physical prostate examination if it is needed. A urine test may also be carried out.

Your consultant will explain each step and help you choose a plan that fits your needs.

How the Appointment Works

When you arrive, your consultant will talk with you about your concerns and explain what will happen during the appointment. If a PSA blood test is included, this will be taken usually at the end of your visit.

Any extra checks needed for your level of care will be carried out in a calm and private setting. Your results are usually ready within a few days, and your consultant will explain what they mean and any steps you may need to take next.

Pricing & Payment Information

Cost

Prostate appointments can be booked with either a GP or a Consultant Urologist:

  • Appointments with our GPs start from £125 and are a good first step if you would like an initial discussion and assessment. If needed, your GP will refer you to a Consultant Urologist for further investigation or treatment.
  • Alternatively, you can book directly with a Consultant Urologist from £260 for a specialist assessment and advice.
  • Blood tests are priced individually and will be recommended based on your clinical needs during your appointment.

Payment methods

You can pay for your appointment in the following ways:

  • Self funded: Payment can be made over the phone, in person, or through our secure payment portal.
  • Health insurance: We can assist with insurance claims where possible. Please check your level of cover with your provider before your appointment.

If you have any questions about pricing or payment, our team is happy to help before you book.

How to Book an Appointment

The quickest way to book an appointment is online, where you can view live availability and choose a time that suits you. If you prefer, you can call our team to arrange your appointment or ask any questions. You can also request a callback, and we will contact you as soon as possible.
